Yes. The Infinity Grill Gas BBQ is certified outdoors as a domestic outdoor gas cooking appliance and indoors as a domestic gas cooking appliance. However, the Infinity Grill BBQ will require adequate protection from the elements. We also recommend, if installing outdoors, that you purchase this BBQ with a lid to further protect it from the elements and rain.

No, in addition to our outdoor certification the Infinity Grill BBQ is certified as an 'indoor gas cooktop'
Being an 'indoor gas cooktop' with extremely low emissions, this appliance does not require a range hood. Most outdoor gas BBQ’s (with the ability to be installed indoors) may require range hoods specified to draw a certain amount of air as well as incorporating an interlocker that locks the operation of the appliance to the range hood so one appliance cannot operate without the other.
The only reason you may want to install a range hood is for the removal of smoke which will be caused by cooking. We recommend selecting a range hood with a surface area equal to or larger than the cooktop however this is not critical.
When installing a range hood, the only requirement is that the range hood be installed 1.2 metres above the cooking surface.
NOTE: ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR BUILDER AND OR LOCAL GAS PLUMBER. This appliance must be installed in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 5601 (Gas Installations) and in accordance with the local authority.
For optimal performance, it's recommended to install the Infinity Grill Gas BBQ in a protected area, shielded from direct wind exposure. Installing it behind a wall or in an area not prone to strong winds ensures optimal heat production. Indoor installation is also suitable for ideal performance.
No, the Infinity Grill Gas BBQ does not require any additional insulation. The BBQ is ready to be installed as-is, there is no need for a seperate heat/insulation jacket to be fitted to the bench prior to installing.
We recommend using a fat absorbent that absorbs fat quickly and minimises flare ups such as:
- > Outdoor Magic - Fat Trap, premium absorbency granules
Step-by-step guide to cleaning your Infinity Grill Gas BBQ:
- Safety Precautions: Ensure the BBQ is turned off and the BBQ plate is completely cool before cleaning to avoid burns.
- Scrape Grill Plate: Use a wire grill brush, BBQ scraper or grill block to remove any stuck-on food particles and debris from the grill plate. Scrub in the direction of the plates' bars to dislodge residue. If you don't have a grill brush or similar tool, you can use a crumpled ball of aluminium foil to achieve a similar effect. Use a cloth or paper towel to wipe and remove residue from grill plate. Dispose of these residues properly.
- Wipe Down: With a soft sponge or cloth gently wipe down full exterior of the BBQ. The exterior surfaces of the BBQ should be cleaned or wiped regularly to prevent tea-staining and to prolong the high finish of the stainless steel. If tea-staining occurs, it should be attended to in the early stages as it will be much easier to remove. If left, it will gradually get worse until it turns to rust.
- Prepare Soapy Water: Fill a bucket or basin with warm water and add a few drops of mild dishwashing detergent. Mix the solution thoroughly.
- Wash Exterior & Interior: Dip a soft sponge or cloth into the soapy water, squeeze excess water out and gently scrub the exterior and interior surfaces of the BBQ. Pay special attention to areas with grease or stains. For stubborn stains, create a paste with bi-carb soda and water, apply it, let it sit, and then gently scrub. Washing the exterior will help to remove general contamination found in the air such as dust, dirt, and salt. Do not pour water directly over the BBQ controls.
- Wipe Exterior & Interior: Rinse the sponge or cloth well and wipe exterior and interior clean to remove all detergent and residue from the BBQ. Make sure to wipe thoroughly to avoid leaving any soap/detergent behind.
- Remove Grill Plate: Remove the grill plate from the BBQ to wash.
- Soak Grill Plate: If the grill plate is particularly greasy or has stubborn residue, you can soak it in the soapy water for a while. This will help loosen the grime and make cleaning easier.
- If Soaked, Repeat Scrape: Once soaked, repeat scrape process. Use a wire grill brush, BBQ scraper or grill block to remove any stuck-on food particles and debris from the grill plate. Scrub in the direction of the plates' bars to dislodge residue.
- Wash Grill Plate: Either submerge grill plate in a bucket or basin of soapy water or dip a soft sponge or cloth into the soapy water, squeeze excess water out and gently scrub the grill plate over a towel or wipeable surface. Pay special attention to areas with build-up, grease, or stains. For stubborn stains and marks, create a paste with bi-carb soda and water, apply it, let it sit, and then gently scrub.
- Rinse Grill Plate: Rinse grill plate with water to remove the detergent, grease, and residue. Ensure all the cleaning solution is removed from the grill plate. Do not pour water directly over the BBQ controls.
- Vinegar Solution (Optional): If there are still stains or residue on the grill plate, you can create a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Apply the solution to the affected areas, let it sit for a few minutes, then gently scrub, and rinse off (Step 9: Rinse Grill Plate).
- Dry Thoroughly: Use a clean cloth or paper towel to dry all stainless steel surfaces of the BBQ; exterior, interior and grill plate. Drying helps prevent water spots, tea-staining, and streaks from forming.
- Check Drip Tray: If necessary, remove drip tray, empty, replace fat absorbent material then return to BBQ.
- Blackening Grill Plate: Due to the high heat produced by the appliance it is normal for blackening to occur to the grill plate. This can be from the heat of the appliance alone and/or a combination of the food being cooked. To help remove burn marks, mix a small amount of white vinegar and water together (Step 12: Vinegar Solution) and spray or apply the solution to the grill plate. Work this into the surface of the grill plate with a non-scratch scouring pad to bring the grill plate back to its original finish. Rinse with water (Step 11: Rinse Grill Plate) and dry thoroughly (Step 13: Dry Thoroughly).
- Polish Exterior (Optional): If you want to enhance the shine of the stainless steel, you can apply a stainless steel polish to the BBQ exterior according to the manufacturer's instructions. Buff the surfaces with a clean cloth after applying the polish. When applied to the external surfaces, silicone-based polishes are ideal to help the stainless steel form a protective layer to prevent tea-staining and rusting. (Do not use silicone-based stainless polish on the cooking surface/grill plate).
- Regular Maintenance: Clean the BBQ exterior and grill plate after each use to prevent grease build-up and staining. Regular cleaning will make the overall maintenance easier and subsequent cleanings easier.

Customer Reviews
Build quality of this BBQ is exceptional
I have the Infinity Grill BBQ and a stainless steel gas bottle. When I purchase anything of substantial value, quality of materials and construction are top of my list.
The build quality of this BBQ is exceptional, couldn’t find anything close to it in any other brand. The build quality was that good – I decided to build a custom cart for it. Now normally I don’t shop with aesthetics in mind.. but my Infinity Grill looks like a work of art (so does the gas bottle), I almost didn’t want to cook on it after installing it lol.
It does a great job at cooking too! High quality Australian made products backed up by absolutely exceptional customer service. Will recommend to everyone.
Incredible grills, best I have used
We bought the Infinity Teppanyaki Electric BBQ and Infinity Grill Gas BBQ. I was a little nervous about doing this as there’s not too many online reviews to find on them. I am so glad I did.
They are both incredible grills and the best I have used. Both units are of quality construction and very solid. They also look fantastic side by side.
Southern Stainless and Cookout BBQ’s were also great to deal with as a company.
Sensational quality products
We wish to pass on our sincere thanks to Cookout BBQ’s and Southern Stainless for supplying us with sensational quality products.
We purchased two BBQ’s – One an Infinity Grill Gas BBQ and the second an Infinity Teppanyaki Electric BBQ, which we had installed side by side. Both BBQ’s perform beautifully and are very easy to control the correct amount of heat to cook anything to our liking.
Thanks again for your great service.
