  • 12-month parts warranty


Warranty Coverage
In Australia

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure

  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage

  • Repair or replacement if the product fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure

“Acceptable quality” and “major failure” are defined in the ACL.

In New Zealand

Products sold in New Zealand are guaranteed under the Consumer Guarantees Act, Sale of Goods Act, and Fair Trading Act. For items purchased for commercial use, the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply.


Warranty Terms & Conditions

This warranty applies only to new Cookout BBQ appliances purchased from authorised dealers. Southern Stainless Pty Ltd guarantees that its barbecues and appliances are free from manufacturing defects. Slight imperfections may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our products.

Warranty coverage is valid for:

  • 10 years for structural components

  • 12 months for all other parts

To be eligible for warranty service:

  • You must provide a valid proof of purchase (e.g., invoice or receipt)

  • All freight, transport, insurance, and installation costs are the responsibility of the claimant

  • The BBQ must be installed correctly and used in accordance with the user manual and care instructions


Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Batteries, filters, or perishable components

  • Parts or modifications not supplied by Southern Stainless Pty Ltd

  • Cosmetic or superficial damage that does not affect performance

  • Damage caused by:

    • Abuse, impact, or overloading

    • Incorrect or inappropriate operation

    • Power surges or improper power supply

    • Storm or weather-related incidents

    • Lack of maintenance or servicing

    • Servicing performed by an unauthorised technician

    • Normal wear and tear

    • Commercial use (unless approved in writing)

    • Use beyond intended purpose

Southern Stainless Pty Ltd is only liable for issues directly related to faulty parts or manufacturing defects. We do not accept liability for consequential loss or damage.

Any variation to these conditions must be approved in writing by the Director of Southern Stainless Pty Ltd.


How to Make a Warranty Claim:

Before submitting a claim, please:

  1. Review your user manual for correct operation

  2. Review the warranty terms outlined above

  3. Have your BBQ’s model and serial number ready

  4. Locate your proof of purchase (receipt or invoice)

If your warranty claim is approved, we will arrange the return or repair of your appliance.

Please note: shipping costs are at the customer’s expense unless the product is confirmed as faulty under warranty.
